Sadie Tierney
The anticipated excitement of the voyage radiates from Sadie Tierney’s prints and paintings. As the sun sets a ship heads out of port, lights reflecting on the sea; the last rays of the sun catch the peak towering above a precarious mountain road, and a fun fair with its mantle of starry gems lights the night sky. The expressive images are marked by energetic use of colour and line.
Sadie studied Fine Art at the Royal College of Art, London and Newcastle University. She has Lectured on art for MA and BA level students in various locations and has frequently exhibited singularly or as part of a group. A frequent exhibitor at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, most recent solo exhibitions include Rabley Gallery and Eton College. She recently completed a commission for Cunard, now hanging in the ‘Solent Suite’ of the newest addition to the fleet, Queen Anne.
