So proud of him.
Here's what Shane has to say...
"Its with huge pride I can announce my election to signature membership of the American Society of Marine Artists ASMA. As such I can now sign ASMA after my name. For me this is the fulfilment of a lifetimes ambition.Â
It the early 1990s when I was still working as an aircraft engineer it was the work of the American Society of Marine artists that inspired me to paint and dream of a career of being a full time Artist. It was through the work of Artists like Don Demers, John Stobart, Chris Blossom and Richard Loud that I began the long journey of self instruction to become a marine artist. Over the years other ASMA artists like Russ Kramer, Patrick O'Brien and Joseph McGurl became big inspirations in the development of my work.
It is very humbling that my work has now been accepted by these very same artists as worthy of the title ASMA.
A special thanks to Patrick O’Brian President of ASMA for informing me of my selection and for his encouragement in my fulfilling my life long dream."
Shane continues onwards and upwards with his fantastic works and career of magical creation.
