
Ivan Lapper ARCA RSMA
Ivan Lapper was born in Bilston, and attended Wolverhampton College of Art . He then went on to the Royal College of Art from 1959 to 1962. On leaving art college, he worked as a freelance artist providing illustrations for many magazines and books, such as The Radio Times and the Readers Digest. More recently, painting in oil and watercolour Ivan has become known for his works depicting the coastline of Cornwall and the Isle of Wight. Each work illustrates a strong understanding of his craft and a passion for his subject matter. He has won a number of awards including the Art Club prize at the RSMA in 2009. In 2010, Ivan was elected a full Member of the Royal Society of Marine Artists and his works make up part of many collections worldwide.
