Coastal Colours

Exhibition is on til Aug 4th

Our new exhibition celebrates the perfect day spent on the coast - all the smells and textures, sailing, on the Beach, local views etc.. Those stand and stare moments of peace and connection with nature that we remember forever...

Mark Buck's majestic energy filled sailing and racing themed pieces make wonderful focal points to any room. The light and dark tones through the sails and the water make each piece appear to move and you can feel the breeze which fills the sails..

Leanne's has created a beautiful collection of sealife themed pieces. All the sealife featured is native to the Isle of Wight and South Coast. The detail of the featured animals are set off by the simplicity of the backgrounds showing their habitat. There are also a couple of large abstract piece in vibrant yet calm colours and forms. To complete the sea connection she has also created a selection of her water and wave pieces - come and choose your favourite. A stunning body of work.

Ann Hawksley has supplied 4 pieces that are vibrant and exude summer heat. 2 are Children playing on Quay rocks and trying to catch Crabs, and 2 are of maritime pursuits. One depicts an evening race and the other the SVOD's moored up and glowing in the evening light. Evoking memories from long ago summers and making new memories of the latest summers.

Daphne Ellman SWA has sold 3 pieces before the exhibition opened which leaves 2. One is a beautiful view from Compton to Freshwater and the other is a shoreline view with seagulls. Both are exquisite and the little details are so realistic. She regularly uses mixed media, adding in small gold sparkle touches which twinkle as the light changes and trick the eye.
