Polly Anna Bareham

I was born in Kingston Upon Thames in Surrey. At 2 years old my family decided to move back to their home, the Isle of Wight where we settled in Shanklin.

My love of art and all things crafty grew from a very young age and throughout my life I was always sketching and doodling. My passion grew and when I left school I went on to study art further at Falmouth College of Art in Cornwall and then to K.I.A.D  in Maidstone Kent. On leaving art
school I returned to the island and became a successful freelance designer working on illustrations for greetings cards and wrapping paper for the likes of  Boots, WhSmiths and more; John Lewis used my designs across their hugely successful wedding range for 3 years.
Moving to Bembridge where I have now lived for 24 years with my husband and three children, my love for painting never dwindled and I now love to paint with inspiration coming from my local surroundings, with coastal designs inspired by local scenery of the beach, sea, fishing and boats all whilst taking advantage of the Isle of Wights vibrant colours and tones.
I have also exhibited at Quay Arts in Newport and participate in the island’s Open Studio event where I have met some lovely visitors.
My colour coordinations work perfectly with matched furnishings and interiors and I am able to re-work my ideas and designs to suit individual colour schemes by way of commissions.
