1986 – ‘87  Foundation course at Portsmouth College of Art. Distinction.
1987- ‘88  BTEC Nat. Dip.  Art & Design at Southwark College. Distinction.
1988 - 1991  Textile Art degree at Manchester Metropolitan University. First Class (B.A.) Hons.
1991 – 1999: Charlotte exhibited widely as a Textile Artist.  She received awards from the Crafts Council of Great Britain (becoming a Selected Maker) and the Prince’s Youth Business Trust. In 1997 her work was purchased for the Embroiderers Guild Permanent Museum Collection at Hampton Court Palace, where it is still housed.
 
Charlotte also taught Life Drawing at Manchester Metropolitan University and Portraiture, Life and General painting classes at Bromley Adult Education Classes in Kent.
 
2001 - 2015: Following a move back to the I.O.W. Charlotte turned her artistic focus onto Fine Art painting. She now paints mostly landscape, seascapes and coastal scenery of the I.O.W. Her signature style marries sweeping, backdrops of dramatic sky, land and sea, with fine attention to foreground detail. Charlotte’s paintings are said to capture the ‘essence’ of the Island.
 
Charlotte paints from her home in Bembridge and exhibits  regularly on the Isle of Wight; at Quarr Abbey Art Gallery, in Open Studios, Seaview Art Gallery, Beaux Arts of Bembridge, in the annual ‘Landscapes of the Isle of Wight’  exhibition and  Tapnell Farm.
 
In 2015 Charlotte exhibited her work for the first time in the N.A.P.A. Summer Exhibition at The Crypt Gallery, St. Ives ... where she was awarded the President’s Award for showing exceptional skill in the use of acrylic paint.
 
2010: Shortlisted finalist in the Aesthetica Creative Works Competition.
2012: First Prize winner at the Landscapes of the Isle of Wight  Exhibition.
2015: Selected as a member of NAPA: The National Acrylic Painters’ Assoc.
2015: N.A.P.A. Summer Exhibition, Crypt Gallery, St.Ives:  President’s Award .
