Amanda Wheeler
I have been painting for twenty-five years now, since I spent a creative summer in South West France back in 1998, re-igniting my childhood passion of drawing and painting.
There the landscape, vast colourful and serenely beautiful, full of sunflowers and lavender, though pretty didn't quite ignite any passion into my painting. It was the sea I needed and returning to the Island I have been seduced by the wild, salty cerulean beauty of Steephill Cove which I now call home. Ever changing, this and the surrounding coves, rocky shorelines and the different blues, greens and violets are a constant inspiration to my work which I fit around our family seafood business.
I work from home or my Studio at Binnel Bay.
